comment StarCraft 2 forcing a game that keeps army sizes smaller
It's a shame that they weakened psy-storm like they did....

I think it's also fair to not expect Micro to overcome larger armies as much as it it did in the original starcraft. The AI is just better. This makes Macro more important in SC2 than before. It's a better balance and makes for more interesting battles as forces tend to have more interesting compositions and counters, and expand the skillsets required to become good at the game.

Seems silly, but somehow I missed the pull down that lets you do this.

comment How to deal with 2v2 rushes?
You'll have the advantage of being closer to your means of production. I concur that cheese style rushes (10 pool or a cannon rush) are probably a special case that my answer does not cover it. But 6 minutes into the game is far enough to have something to bring together to fend things off. It's a close call, and we definitely have experienced and find these style of attacks difficult.

comment How to counter marine rush as a protoss on maps with huge ramps like Scrap Station?
I swear I had read that the animation was accurate (enemy units within the globe are unaffected), and I still want to test this out in the unit tester, but I'll go with this for now. If it were the case, obviously keeping a gap between the marines and your zealots is a tricky affair.

comment Is micromanagement of early units “required” by Protoss?
Alright, I'm convinced that other races benefit from micro, and see the point about force fields not being necessary at the lower levels as it's been made twice now. Unfortunately, my PC is lagging enough to mess up my micro at the early stages and it does struggle from time to time with the larger battles. (oddly enough, if I survive to the later game though, I'm usually fine because my macro game is pretty good) I'm beginning to think I'm not troop building enough.

I think this is where I struggle with the Protoss lately. (units are expensive but valuable) As with most strengths per race, they can turn into weaknesses if not managed properly.

A good point on the speed of the lings and roaches for zerg requiring micro (also for surround). I can certainly understand the point about tanks. I appreciate the suggestion to reduce micro heavy forces though.

comment Best strategy against Worker Rush cheese in 2v2 and other matchups
I am tempted to suggest that you should just save all of your workers minus two or three that you can micro. Use the "saved" workers to distance mine. This leaves them with the choice of chasing your miners (slowing down the base attack), and engaging in micro at the same time. Either way, this will sufficiently occupy them long enough to allow your partner to arrive either at their bases or yours with strength. You want to divide their efforts as much as possible away from your destroying your main. Clumping off into two or even three (say a lone worker) is a lot to track down even for two.

comment Are Templars a cheap answer to carriers?
Sigh, add in the cooldown time and the fact that storms no longer stack, yeah, it is lame how weak the psi-storm has become.

comment When should I focus my units' fire?
The biggest exception to this rule is against Protoss carriers. Many units end up targeting the interceptors.
