comment Don't Starve Console won't go away?
It's worth disabling all your mods to check if mods are the issue.

comment What's the best strategy for the Steam Monster Game?
There is a lot of talk about elements, and that each game has two elements which are most beneficial for you to upgrade, the other two are not. They are saying that it is better to max out one or two elements rather than all of them.

comment Which god do I serve?
Thank you, I hadn't realized that there will only ever be one god for each alignment per game.

comment When should I be taking the time to identify items, and which items should I not bother with?
I'm no expert, but this is the best I could come up with after a lot of reading and play.

comment When to identify loot, when not to bother?
@Frank Fine, we'll do it your way - maybe things have changed in three years. But if my old question doesn't get re-opened because Stack Exchange Mechanics, you get to be the subject of my disappointment eyebrows.

comment When should I be taking the time to identify items, and which items should I not bother with?
Because of the way SE works, there's a heavy penalty for not asking your question the right way the first time. I tried again gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/221918/… and that one will likely be closed. I'm trying to ask my question the right way, but it's tough to fight against the ocean. Help me out a little?

YES. I'd forgotten all about arrow traps, easily a stack of arrows right there

comment What's the most efficient order in which to check for discrepancies?
Yes it is! But I always found it took too much time to grab the paper and skim it for what I needed.

comment What's the objective in Adventure Mode (inside Maxwell's Door)?
@Kyralessa you are right. The wiki dont-starve-game.wikia.com/wiki/Guides/Adventure_Guide gives a great tip of building structures but not placing them.

comment What's the objective in Adventure Mode (inside Maxwell's Door)?
Generally the consensus is to wait to go through Maxwell's Door until you have a Chester-A-Base, that is, a Chester filled and ready for your new base inside the very harsher world. Some new players prefer to hold off the Door until they feel confident they can survive in Sandbox (especially Winter).

comment Are any of the Harvest Moon games multiplayer?
You might also enjoy a LAN indie game, FarmHands : freelangames.net/2012/09/farm-hands.html . You'd need something like Hamachi to set it up, but it's most enjoyable aspect is figuring out what everything does and finding all the features.

@Josh, that's not true. Dragon encounters can and do occur while traveling the roads.

comment Trouble getting to sleep after gaming session
Another thing that this suggestion does is create a "bedtime routine". Just knowing that there is a routine and being on it helps you to wind down much faster than suddenly deciding to sleep.

comment Trouble getting to sleep after gaming session
One of the reasons this works so well is that experts theorize that looking at screens - your ipad, monitor, etc - right before bed makes it harder for you to go to sleep. So, avoiding your electronics should help immensely.

comment Is there any way to get a refund for a game bought from Steam?
Just because you can't play the game doesn't constitute a refund. Silly me downloaded a game and couldn't run it at all (game didn't like my laptop GPU). Steam says "Refund because you can't play the game? Haha. Um, no."

comment How can I prevent Gaming Sickness?
Yes, it did improve - but each person is different. A combination of all the suggestions is what worked for me, specifically: Playing in a well-lit environment, a much brighter screen, brightening my game options, and playing in maximized mode. I noticed that with minimized windows, I was always leaning closer to see. To force myself to retain a good distance from the screen, I switched to a non-wheeled chair. I've also upgraded to a newer computer since then (8fps games are now 40fps) and that has been extremely helpful.
