comment Capturing multiple of the same alien
Good point. I like how my scientists managed to improve the plasma rifle design to make a plasma sniper rifle in a matter of a few days just after commenting about how the technology was decades ahead of our time. But I'll take it....

comment What role is a “Heavy” supposed to fill?
Updated answer with that exception. I'm rolling 3 snipers all with double tap and plasma snipers at this point. Stuff dies very fast. Squad sight is great, especially combined with Overwatch.

comment How do I play the Interceptor/UFO minigame?
Those boosts can make a huge difference, too. With one of each (Aim, Dodge) my otherwise vanilla interceptor was (barely) able to take down a large UFO. They require alien corpses, though, and while Aim is cheap money-wise, the other two are not.

comment Why are three of the five base location choices unavailable?
However, Europe and Asia are the hardest bonuses to get through satellites (more countries in them), so if your goal is to get more bonuses fast, those two might be good starting options.

comment What are the benefits and drawbacks of sprinting?
+1 for aim penalty mention. If you have a unit suppressed, and duking it out without moving isn't an option, dashing far away is the better option. The aim penalty can make all the difference. Likewise, when rounding a blind corner where enemies might be on overwatch, dashing may be safer.

comment How do stats affect to-hit percentages?
Seems like most guns except sniper rifles do get an aim penalty at range. I'd love to know what those thresholds are in numbers. Side note: Sick of getting headshotted by a plasma pistol from 40 meters. =(

comment Is there any way to tell if an enemy is on overwatch?
Yeah, I don't think there's any persistent indication that an enemy is in overwatch, and you definitely can't tell if you don't have vision on that enemy when they enter it. I've found that, on normal (ironman, though I doubt that makes a difference here), enemies seem to always spend their second turn, meaning if they didn't move twice they're probably in overwatch. That or just assume any enemy who's been revealed but then went out of vision range is in overwatch. Send your assault with Lightning Reflexes in first.

comment How do you attack with your backup weapon?
Mostly important for reaction shots (overwatch, etc): the currently equipped weapon will be used. So be aware of that when ending your turn.

comment What does it mean when the alien logo turns yellow?
Thank you for this. Until you clarified, I had thought yellow meant I had partial vision on the alien, or reduced accuracy or some such.
