comment Are Steam price cuts predictable?
I suspect that the second paragraph is pretty much the key to this whole question.

comment Can I get the Morticulturalist achievement if I sell plants from my Zen Garden?
I'm confused. I thought this achievement was by making all the plant types available for gameplay...not for collecting them in the zen garden.

@BlueRaja: ahh! thanks! It seemed slightly wrong, but I couldn't remember for sure. Question is updated.

comment Will a normal electric guitar work with Rock Band 3?
@BlueRaja: "They've stated that the guitar has sensors in the neck": I remember something about this...but I'm wondering if that's how Midi guitars generally work, since this is supposedly a Midi guitar...blah. Guess this is a lot of speculation.

Well, I know nothing is 100% until it actually ships...but since they're at the point of showing off the equipment and describing how it works, and the game is supposed to ship in less than 2 months, I think it's unlikely that they'll go through a major device redesign at this point. Still, the point is well taken.

comment Will a normal electric guitar work with Rock Band 3?
@BlueRaja / @Jeffrey: Well, this is the kind of thing I was sort of expecting...except wouldn't a Midi type guitar have the same kinds of issues? How is that handled?

comment Ramifications of mass slaughter?
This reminds me of a story I heard about a gamer who, in Fallout (1 or 2? can't remember) solved every single "mission" using entirely peaceful methods, and didn't kill a single person in the game...except he killed every child in every city. Uber creepy/geeky.

comment How do you increase your team members' loyalty in Mass Effect 2?
@rmontagud: Quite true. Apparently, you can eventually repair the damage through talking to them again later, but it takes a much higher paragon/renagade score to do this than it would have to just get it right in the first place.

comment What's the easiest way to kill Fawkes?
@John: Oh, fine. I wonder if he would be easier to kill off after he (sigh) joins you. If not, you'd think that just about every battle with him at your side would be essentially unloseable, assuming you were willing to just hide while he took em all out. Hmm.

And it's that tough on normal difficulty? Egad. I played through on the toughest difficulty, and there was NOTHING that could even take close to that level of damage and survive. Glad I didn't decide to try and take her out.

-1 for not realizing Fawkes was female. +2 for sheer tenacity/cohones/awesomeness. I thought I remembered that some creatures were healed by radiation, and I thought it might be super mutants...but maybe it's just ghouls.

@Raven: That being said, I like your tenacity. Very in depth exploration! +1.
