comment I think someone cloned A. Patterson in Tiny Tower
I had that problem too. I'm pretty sure the bitizen in question went away after restarting the game.

Are you using base population or the population with added modifiers from things like parks/education/landmarks/etc?

then please edit your answer for more clarity. Also your numbers are estimates and are not exact, so are not terribly helpful.

comment What are the incentives of getting a job over other money-making activities?
@Iszi is correct, planting and certain hobbies (at least before the updates, hobbies like fashion were amazing at generating money) are definitely more time-efficient than careers. Not only that, if you purchase seeds at the home store, you get value toward your town value, and a discount on seeds.

comment What are the incentives of getting a job over other money-making activities?
The competition center holds events where Sims can compete on various skilled items related to hobbies, not careers. For example, your Sim who is fully leveled up on diving can compete in a diving competition. A competition lasts one day, and the highest prize is 3 LP. So, it has nothing to do with careers, plus it is not always worth it to spend an entire day for the possibility of receiving 3 LP. In my opinion, the competition center is the least useful building on the map.

comment How do World Events work in Pocket Planes?
The number of items required in order to win the award is located under "flight crew --> prizes". Generally it is 50 jobs, so it says "Deliver 50 jobs to qualify for prizes." You also have to be in a flight crew in order to win prizes. I highly recommend TOUCHARCADE. It nearly always comes in first place.

comment What does upgrading an airport actually do?
Yes, you can upgrade twice. The first upgrade doubles the number of layover slots, and the second upgrade increases by 1.5x again. (So level 3 = 1.5 * level 2, and level 2 = 2 * level 1.)

Please try to use some facts to verify your answer. The tax rate doesn't exponentially decrease with population, it increases, but slowly. This thread is about trying to determine what creates the tax rate and justify it with gameplay experience.

comment Taxes are calculated as a percentage of what in SimCity Buildit?
That sounds reasonable, but the math just isn't working out. My base population is 298,444. After I subtract the population enhancement from parks, education, transportation, entertainment, gambling and landmarks, my population is 141,049. My tax rate is 20%. IF your theory were true, my tax would be §28,210, however it is §15,571.

comment What can I purchase with items I obtain from fulfilling Tokyo Airport cargo shipments?
So far it looks like I can use them while upgrading Tokyo residential areas, but I'm not sure if they have any use for unlocking special services later on in the game.

I agree, not that I've ever timed it, but it has always appeared to be exactly real-time.

@Lohoris, then why do they have different rates for different happiness levels??

@Mathias711, no, because you can only upgrade floors up to the 10th level.

Interesting... so the 20% number is basically meaningless, without any indication of what the other variables are.

comment What determines the exchange rate for global trade items?
I was also going to ask what determines how long it takes items to sell, right now it's been taking forever and sometimes it's really quick, but maybe price has something to do with it.

comment Why would I want to build more floors?
@CoryKlein I totally agree with you. I was just pointing out that, as far as I know, there is at least one benefit of having more floors. Whether or not that is worth the extra costs incurred is up to you!

comment Why do I get Gold stars from some bitizens in their dream job?
@Katustrawfic, silver stars are given for Bitizens that have a skill level less than 9. Gold stars for Bitizens with skill level = 9.

comment Can I make infinite Bux once I have more than 50% floors?
Yes, I have every single floor and am generating 1000s of biz by evicting and hiring new bitizens into their dream jobs. Tedious, yes. But it works.

comment Why do I get Gold stars from some bitizens in their dream job?
The gold star indicates that the bitizen has a skill level of 9, as you said. Having a star in general means you get 2x the amount of goods for the price of only one set. You also get a discount based on the sum of the skill level of each worker.
