What is the best mission type to bring a rookie on? ^^ This. Because it guarantees ONLY thin men, which have only 4 life points, making for a one-shot kill (if you can hit them). Cover your retreat prudently, because they will drop from the sky after bomb disposal. |

Are there any mods that unlock higher level equipment or skill trees? Don't know about mods for the campaign, but there is some pretty decent DLC available for The Last Stand and multiplayer game modes. |

Does the 'Sight' attachment improve the car weapons or the cars' stats? I think it only adds the laser sight and nothing more. At least that's what I experienced. Kind of a useless upgrade, to be honest. |

Is better to use S.H.I.V or rookies in missions? I suppose it also depends on at what point in the game you acquire the SHIV (+ upgrades). Once you have enough plasma rifles for your squad, there's not that much benefit in investing in a SHIV (usually, around that time you would have also upgraded your soldiers' armor). |

Is better to use S.H.I.V or rookies in missions? I don't know why, so it might be just me, but each time I tried out a SHIV on a mission, it was easily destroyed. Doesn't have that much hit points, and you automatically are less cautious because no XP is lost on a soldier. For me, it was always more rewarding to use a soldier (rookie or not). They are just more flexible, AND harder to hit. |

Should I reveal new areas early or late in the turn? I'm not sure about that. I think I saw it happen that I already had a soldier in overwatch, switched to another one that discovered new aliens while moving, and the previous soldier's overwatch was triggered by the discovery/movement of the aliens. |
