Why are you interested in me? You shouldn't be. I'm boring.

But if you insist on getting bored, click that website link. It'll tell more about me than this puny "about me" section ever could.

comment How is tunnel price calculated in openttd?
@Blindy But it does seem to be just a matter of length from preliminary testing. I'm going to take a look in the source for specifics. Not sure if I'll find anything.

Thanks! That explains a lot. Any hard numbers? Are the range/speed modifiers absolute or percentile?

comment How do the different ammunition types affect weapons?
@Rapitor I just went back into VR training and checked. All it gives is a general description like "high-velocity ammo is faster", which is less than what I'm looking for. Nothing shows up in the numbers, not even extremely obvious things like extended mags.

comment WDS contribution prizes location?
Mine are accessible through weapon customisation, as camouflage. However, I'm fairly sure I should have more than 8 after completing tier 2 contribution twice. I don't why I can't find some of them, either.

comment I can't connect to my friends servers and my friend can't connect to my servers?
I'm afraid there isn't enough information in your question to give specific answers. You could provide more details by answering these questions: what OS are you both running? Does either of you have an external IP? Have you set up port forwarding? Can either of you join a different (random) server?

comment How do I start with smaller/more consistently sized towns?
Then I suppose "it can't be done without messing with the source code" is the answer I'm looking for, with workarounds as an added bonus.

comment How do I start with smaller/more consistently sized towns?
I'm afraid that's not quite what I'm looking for. Even at 1 in 20 and size multiplier of 1, I still ended up with a range of 63-926. It's better, but I basically want to set up my own arbitrary values.

comment How does shield work in loadout?
@Wandang I just got a shield in weapon testing for some reason! You're right: one hit with a tesla weapon does not necessarily deplete the shield instantly, but it has a huge damage bonus. Something like 500% at least. Shield's HP is about 50% of your max, it recharges almost instantly after 9 or 10 seconds of taking no damage. Picking up medkits or ammo boxes doesn't affect it in any way. Still untested: juice and healing guns.

comment How does shield work in loadout?
I can add that one hit with anything tesla will instantly deplete the shield. Its capacity is something around 25-50% of your life, and it seems to recover automatically after you've gone on for a while without taking damage. I'm not completely certain, though, and I can't easily test it at the moment.

comment What is minimum amount of magic and upgrade use needed to beat the game, including all collectibles and ghost run?
Thanks. Exactly the kind of info I was looking for, and my own playthrough confirms it.

@ChrisF Thanks. There, I rewrote it now to be more obviously a general question, not one about a specific situation. Better now?

comment What do houses require to advance?
@FAE Thanks. The first one is similar, but has no (accepted) answer. I'm fairly certain all of the needs mentioned there are provided in my game, but they still won't advance. I would also like a more general answer suitable for every faction.

comment How do all the flashbang-like grenades work?
Preliminary VR testing indicates that the EMP is blocked by the heavy's shield, knocks cloakers out of their invisibility, and does nothing to medics' and flyers' abilities. These results are weak, however, since it was used in the VR, on a friend. The grenade worked very inconsistent there.

comment How do all the flashbang-like grenades work?
@Turtleweezard good questions! Since I don't play as an infiltrator, I'm going to have to unlock the EMP just so I could test it. But once I do, I'll update.

comment Dark Souls - cannot log in on GFWL without entering product key that is already registered
I had to fight with GFWL a lot when playing their games. In particular, it produced something similar to what you're describing when I had any special symbols in my password. Seriously. I don't like GFWL since then. Also, quit the game and update the GFWL client manually.

comment How to configure Streaming on Starbound
Seconding Open Broadcaster Software. Worked for me with game capture and no further questions asked. Although it produced noticeable FPS damage when trying to record Starbound. It probably has more to do with the game being unoptimised yet and my own computer being a bit overloaded at the time.

comment Why does it keep saying “Housing Invalid” for the room on the left?
Specifically, "The floor cannot be only wood platform, there must be a place for the NPC to stand without him standing on wood platforms. Make sure the room is big enough to be considered a proper house as well".

comment How do all the flashbang-like grenades work?
@JLaBella I only have a partial answer. It's full for the EMP, I suppose (unless there is some factor not present in VR), but flash and concussion grenades have no data on effect radius and duration, and I'm not entirely certain what I have is entirely correct, either. If I manage to test them in a controlled environment (tossing grenades at my own feet at the warpgate, for SCIENCE), I'll probably be able to fill those blanks in myself, but it's going to take me a while. I only have the concussion grenade unlocked. But if I complete this research, I'll post it as an answer.

comment Can an xbox 360 controller be used on PC with a standard wireless adapter?
It'd be nice if you were a bit more specific what you mean by "normal" wireless adapter. The exact model, for instance.
