comment How many trade offers can a villager have?
@MBraedley I was trying to provide a simpler answer. There is no "maximum" per se, the only limit is that you can only have one of each trade.

comment How do I get the 'On A Rail' achievement?
You can always rip up the rail if you really want. However, your suggestion about looking in the stats is inaccurate. You must go 1000 blocks in one of the cardinal directions (North, East, South or West). If you have a zig-zag or something this will still increase your distance without counting towards your 1000 block requirement.

In other words it's the euclidean distance that matters?

comment What is the villager breed rate?
Ok, but there's still an expected rate (probabilistic definition of expected). If I'm going to wait for 5-10 villagers to breed probabilistic rates are all I care about anyway.

No, that determines how much population you will get, not how quickly you will get there.

comment How do I get the 'On A Rail' achievement?
This is incorrect, you can get the achievement so long as you have moved 1000 blocks from your start location in one of the four directions (North, East, South, or West). You do have to get out and back in again at the start (which is part of what I was doing wrong).
