"Never take a machine if only a human can do the job. But never take a human if a machine can do the job." 50% joke, 50% truth, but not in a symmetric sense :)
I am a teamwork pusher, bug buster (bustin' software bug and process bugs), consultant, programmer, tester, coach, buerocracy avoider -- whatever fits, with almost 30 years of professional field experience, knowing a lot about everything and almost nothing about specifics -- those I often gain on the fly temporarily. I love(d) Turbo Pascal (thanks Anders!), Borland Pascal (thanks Anders!), Delphi (thanks Anders!), respect Java, admire C# (thanks Anders!), get along with C, Oracle, Unix, VB, hate but am forced to use QTP and LR, yet still remember doing Z80 assembly language and systems programming in general. Technically, my weakest point is that I kind of avoided Apple, Linux-specifics, and Python quite a bit in the past, and still do.
My HQ is in Northern Germany, but if my clients demand it, i am on-site wherever, whenever and for how long is required (currently in Munich, Bavaria on the other end of the country).
