How do I improve my Xbox wifi signal? Note that, while this works and should give you sufficient performance for most tasks, you are introducing some extra latency into your network. This could be an issue particularly for gaming. |

Which is better for a Gaming PC Graphics Card - more RAM, or faster GPU? I would also add that, for the GPU, speed is not the sole criteria you need to look at. I'm not sure why the manufacturers make this so hard to figure out, but for example an nVidia GTX and GS are extremely far apart in performance even if running at the same core speed. |

How should I go about finding a guild in WoW? If someone runs up and shoves a guild invite in your face, it's probably not a guild you'll enjoy being in... |

Would I be at a disadvantage if I played Quake Live with an HUD that displayed damage to death “instead of” health and armour numbers? I think what Grace Note is trying to communicate is that, unlike your statements in this question and the other question that got closed, you're not really missing or losing any information using this approach. It's just represented in a different way. The separate items are still represented - what you have essentially done is added a third, composite value that adds to the available information. Now, if all you showed was the composite value then, yes, you'd "lose" that information and be at a disadvantage. |

Would I be at a disadvantage if I played Quake Live with an HUD that displayed damage to death “instead of” health and armour numbers? I think you misunderstand how health and armor work in Quake 3. When you are shot, 2/3 of the damage is taken from your armor and the remainder (or any debt left over if you have no remaining armor) comes from your health. So they are treated independently by the game. (source: www.quake3world.com/q3guide/armorhealth.html) |

Would I be at a disadvantage if I played Quake Live with an HUD that displayed damage to death “instead of” health and armour numbers? @badp - the point is that you need to go looking for whichever is lowest. If you're low on health, you should go looking for health packs. By combining them together, you lose that critical piece of information, to know which one you need. |

What are all of the Need for Speed titles? (I realize that the question was modified to be more "general" - just musing about the subject matter of the games...) |

What are all of the Need for Speed titles? I suppose that, technically, Carbon, Most Wanted and Undercover could be considered "Underground" titles since they all also cover the tuner/street racing scene. Of the rest, ProStreet is probably the odd man out since it is focused on organized circuit racing. (i.e. on purpose-built race tracks and cars.) The remaining titles, up to and including Hot Pursuit 2, were almost entirely "supercar" oriented. |

How to get old 16-bit Windows games to work on 64-bit Windows? Although it's unlikely you're using the Starter edition, XP Mode is not available for that edition of Windows 7. Also, it requires certain hardware support that may or may not be enabled in the BIOS even if it is available on your hardware... Other than, that, I love XP Mode. :) |

Advantage of a slower off-hand for a dual-wield Frost Death Knight in World of Warcraft? @Luminose - this site is intended to be a "general" gaming site. While this means that we don't want the site to be dominated by WoW questions, they certainly are not off-topic or "belongs on X" either. |

What are some key ways for someone new to FPS games to improve their game? On a PC game, definitely learn to use mouse-look effectively. Once you've got it down, you can change direction at the speed of your reflexes rather than the repeat speed of your keyboard. |

Healer add-ons for end-game raiding in WoW? I already use OmniCC (didn't list it above since it doesn't affect screen real estate...). Also, it looks like you use both Skada and Omen? |
