I occasionally like to answer other peoples' questions, and when I solve a difficult problem, I like to share it with the world.

How to stop Valve from spamming me with Dota 2 gifts? Looks like this genius guy has figured out that some people are actually buying Dota2 gifts on the steam community store for a cent (well $0.03. Steam takes a 15% or $0.02 cut, whichever is bigger). Not worth the hassle if you have just 10 or so, but with a little automation and 10,000 copies... (I sold a dozen or so of my Dota2 gifts in the steam store. Trick is to take them down and put them back up if they haven't sold after a day, since they are sorted by price first, then list time.) |

Sky Reflection Linked to Camera Velocity (Glitch) Nope, didn't change anything. Guess it's not related. Disabling water effects makes it way easier to see that the sky reflection is messed up though. |

Which strands in Splice are potential Angelics? Before even completing a strand, you can tell if it's a potential angelic by looking for the marker in the lower left corner of the screen. It appears on every level that can be solved in less than the allowed moves. |

Tamed dogs and cats won't leave me alone Is this confirmed by anything, or just speculative? If it's confirmed, it's definitely worth some points (and a message to Jeb) |

Tamed dogs and cats won't leave me alone That may be the intended behaviour, but as I did my best to make it clear in my question - it's not what happens. Not in SMP anyway. |

Is playing MW2 via AlterIW legal? Note that this is a strategy on part of the game producers to prevent resale or loaning of the same copy of a game to multiple people. Every person who plays the game must have their own key that came with the CD for playing it. If you took or bought your game off of someone else, you are not supposed to be allowed to play it - which is why they require Steam and the key that game with the CD. |

Is playing MW2 via AlterIW legal? Actually, that's exactly how a user is supposed to do it. Steam account is free, and you register add the game to steam using the key provided in the CD. It doesn't answer the question though because the user appears to have some personal reasons to want to avoid steam in particular. A good general approach in this case is - don't buy PC games that require steam. |

Tamed dogs and cats won't leave me alone Also note, the wiki states "A wolf will not teleport: if the player is swimming/boating in deep water (but they will teleport as the player approaches land or shallow one block deep water)" |
