I just love code.

I will keep loving code until the day I build an AI and it kills us all.

Then I'll probably rethink this whole code thing.

@Stuart Pegg so the achievements you get via steam in fallout 3 are the same as the ones you get on the xbox? or different?

comment Does having more than 4 gigs of RAM increase gaming performance?
Although, I removed my pagefile in windows 7 at home, where I have 8GB of DDR3, and I have to say I didn't see much improvement. I didn't see any LESS performance, but I have a regular SATA drive and not SSD, so that's probably my biggest bottleneck.

Actually, it won't crash. I recently turned off paging at work, and when I ran out of ram(3GB), visual studio started acting funny - not allowing me to debug, or even copy/paste. But it didn't even drop the process, it just told me about it. I personally don't see why we need to enable paging if we have lots of ram or if we know we won't exceed that amount. Most arguments to the contrary are something like 'You just dont do it, windows knows best' which I don't buy.

so, with 2 wands, same speed, 100 DPS and 50 DPS, all magic effects aside, am i at 150, or 75? I would hope 150.

Nice answer. I love seeing people reverse engineering this stuff. It does point out that the company should have published these formulas in the first place, but, still, kudos.

@thethinman so what you're saying is that the DPS will go DOWN if i equip another less wand? that doesn't seem right

fire rate is a good point. I've actually been ignoring fire rate entirely since i figured DPS would include that, but in this case it might be relevant.
