comment What does SS stand for when an opponent is missing?
You don't seem to understand how stackexchange works. This is not a discussion, this is Q/A and if you don't know the answer, you don't answer. Nobody has to prove you anything, you yourself admitted this was only your opinion. You just guessed what it means. Yes I will keep it up, calling on wrong answers and improving stackexchange quality.

comment Support: When to be offensive or defensive as a support?
It is true that in lower levels of play enemy does more mistakes so you can get away with more mistakes yourself. But it's not the reason to intentionally do those mistakes (playing greedy support, picking 4 carries), like Holger suggests!

That's just incorrect.

They are not 'also' valid because your explanation is not valid. It's just what you thought, and you thought wrong.

comment What are the reasons for the game suddenly stopping building production - particularly wonders?
Many wonders do go obsolete too. So do Monuments.

comment When should you build workers in Civilization 4?
"Work" as in within city screen. City should never use unimproved tiles. Unless, again, you really know what you are doing and why :)

comment How well does Civilization 4 handle automation of workers?
You can have an automated specialization to some extent by turning on Emphasize in the city screen. It does affect what improvements workers build around that city too. P.S. in my opinion even complete newbie can manually do better than automated workers

comment How does culture work in Civilization 4?
Culture slider adds to happiness on its own (+1 per 10%), right buildings just add further happiness. If I recall correctly. As for defecting cities, ILM probably just have it turned off in options.

comment Why do console games require a button press before showing the main menu?
Well these certifications just beg the question. In that case I would ask why certifications require something like this.

comment Why do console games require a button press before showing the main menu?
Actually many things you listed can be found in PC games too, without pressing anything. Like intro movies, loading in background and company logos. So it appears that detecting controller is the main reason...

Why close(2) ? Something wrong with the question?

comment Black outlines in Borderlands
Well it truly looks better without post processing outlines IMO, even if the difference is subtle. By the way, thank you for mentioning the name of that visual style - I really liked it and wondered if I could read more about it. Now that I accidentally learned the name I was able to google more :)

comment Black outlines in Borderlands
I used to play one more game with the same outlines, namely Darkfall, where you could remove them by turning off "post processing effects". I was wondering maybe there's a similar option here too... but I aint going to modify shader files :)
