Nov 6	comment	Are heavy cannon and auto-cannon still tactically advantageous after acquiring the laser rifle? HE ammo on auto-fire from an auto-cannon is very useful. You can use it to take down small buildings to get at aliens in cover, and to clear rooms in UFOs.

In the origional, getting the Hyper-wave decoder from researching a Navigator early on made your life much easier!
Sep 24	comment	Are bosses harder as a stealth-based character? Its worth noting that the boss fights tend to start with a cut-scene, followed by the boss getting the drop on you. This occurs even if you are invisible and have been looking through walls to check for danger. This is rather frustrating to a stealthy player.

Just to note that the success/failure of the protecting is based SOLELY on leaving through the main door (Success) or the window (failure). I did the protecting, then snuck out the window resulting in the person I was trying to protect being dead later.
Sep 14	comment	Final Fantasy VII - Best way to defeat Ruby and Emerald Weapons Easiest way to do this vs Ruby is to exploit Aire Tam. Have a char on 9999 HP with 2 Materia equipped. Then when Ruby casts Aire Tam, it does 2222 damage leaving you on 7777 which triggers lucky7s!

Aug 23	comment	I died in Nethack to Food Poisoning, despite having Poison Resistance @Anon. Its caused by the toxin that the microbes produce while they eat the food. Its definitely poison, hence the name! Just its unexpected poison from bacterial toxin production rather than toxins naturally occurring in the food. This means you could kill someone with Poison Resistance by adding bacterial toxins to their food, as then it would count as food poisoning rather than normal poising! (Net hack is wrong)
