Does weather or time of day affect combat in XCOM:EU? That's too bad. One of the best (read: most soul-crushingly hard) parts of the original UFO: Enemy Unknown was being forced into a nighttime terror mission and seeing a Chrysalid standing outside the Skyranger. You knew, at that moment, that many of your troops weren't coming home from this one. |

How do I optimally use the Ion weapons (Ion Blast, Ion Blast Mark II, Heavy Ion)? What? The question was "How do I optimally use Ions" and my answer explains how I optimally use Ion weapons. Of course it's stating one particular, useful combination, of which there are many in this game. |

Can I back up and restore my FTL save file? We can agree to disagree on the saving thing, that's the beauty of it being a game. Also, leaping units onto an auto-scout can be potentially viable if your transporter is upgraded enough so that the cooldown is shorter than your unit's lifespan in an oxygen-free environment. Sending a couple of Crystals or Rockmen over to take out the weapon system can be a life-saver. |

How do I optimally use the Ion weapons (Ion Blast, Ion Blast Mark II, Heavy Ion)? It's still a viable solution for those situations, though admittedly requires much more micro-management. Two ion blasts every 4 seconds can be spread around quite a bit, but yeah, until you dig through 4 layers of shields and get those multiple weapons stations and drone hub and teleporter locked down you're going to take a bit of a pounding. |

What's a good party composed of in Avernum 6? Definitely a Nephilim for a rogue or archer. The bonuses to dexterity and missile weapons is just too good to pass up, since that's almost entirely what either of those two classes will be based around. That's been the case in every Avernum/Exile game since the very beginning. I haven't come across a ton of mage items as quest rewards yet, but then again, I haven't gotten too far in yet myself so it's entirely possible that this changes the further into the game you get. |

How to kill Uldred on Dragon Age: Origins? Uldred shouts out something as well if Wynne isn't in your party. I can't remember what he says, but I played through a solo run of the game and didn't have any trouble using the Litany whenever needed on my own. |

Do I lose materia and equipment when I lose a character? You do temporarily lose Cloud later on in the game. Obviously he keeps his weapon when you get him back, but offhand I can't remember what happens with whatever armor he had equipped. Mind you, by the time you get him back whatever he was wearing would be horribly outdated and likely useless by that level. |
