comment How to train/retrain dwarves?
Note that because he's not trained, your new woodcutter will not be as skilled as one who has been chopping since you first struck the earth. For many things, skill == speed, but it also affects things like quality of crafts.

comment Where can I find a complete skill tree with links to skill info?
Certifications focus on fairly small groups of skills and don't make the overlap between different areas very clear. I feel that a complete skill tree would be better for "big picture" long-term planning. For example, finding different "jobs" or skill groups that share skills, in the short and long term. This seems pretty vital since getting skills past level 3 or so can take days or weeks.

comment Is there a way to remotely determine asteroid field composition?
I don't see any options in the on-board scanner to filter for asteroids.

comment How many workers do I need for my cities?
+1 for detailed explanation of the variables to consider. I have also found that roughly 1 worker per city is the sweet spot.

comment Is it possible to play Outpost on a modern OS?
According to that page, "If you are running Windows XP, try the compatibility wizard, I doubt it will work but its worth a try." This doesn't sound so promising, but I'll give it a go when I have the time.

comment How well does OnLive work?
The quality of the service depends on your connection (mainly your ping), and may also depend on the game. I have played Unreal Tournament over OnLive, and I experienced no lag. One of my coworkers had the same experience with UT, but Splinter Cell still lags badly for him.

comment How does Android gaming compare to iOS?
Interesting. I hadn't thought of it, but ease of discovery is probably also an important comparison.

I have considered this (although I failed to mention it). Hoping there might be an easier/cheaper solution, but this is a good last resort.
