comment After defeating Logan can you be “all good” and win?
This is true. I did what most people probably did on my first playthrough - just went straight through without doing too much to build the treasury - and was caught by surprise. The second playthrough, I delayed as much as I could stand between each day, and I also tracked every task in Excel so I'd know for a subsequent playthrough. Without that information, it'd probably be best to build your treasury the first chance you have (although some areas open up after certain tasks are completed).

comment Why is it so difficult to emulate PS2 games in a PS3?
As mentioned in other answers, "competently" is an inadequate benchmark for game simulation, especially when the emulator is sold as part of a package. Early PS3 adopters were not interested in a console that could kind of run PS2 games: when Sony advertised backward compatibility, customers expected it, especially given the (perhaps unfairly high) bar Sony had set with the PS2 and compatibility with PlayStation games.

comment How can I reliably activate vocal Star Power in Rock Band?
In Rock Band 3, this can be done during a phrase with both percussion and Overdrive activation, but it's not entirely reliable ... I think you have to hit the mic outside the window where RB3 is looking for percussion. In that case, you're probably better off making noise for Overdrive and tapping for percussion.

comment How can I reliably activate vocal Star Power in Rock Band?
Of course this seems to work perfectly when the last note ends right before you can activate Overdrive, but for whatever reason, you don't want to! I use this method myself.

comment In NCAA 11, Online Dynasty, is it possible to turn off 1-button mode for single player vs CPU games?
I have seen similar things in Madden online dynasty play as well, and it's not limited to sports games. I think it's just easier to develop a winning strategy against the CPU than against people, especially in an online dynasty where there could be several styles in use at once, and some people who can dominate offline never develop winning online strategies.

comment What causes a brick to blow away perpendiculars?
Lightning can also be useful for getting multipliers that are surrounded by jewels of other colors, or for triggering bombs that could blow up multipliers.

comment Puzzle Quest 2: Gate Hacker Achievement
FWIW, this also applies to the Steam version, which has the same Gate Hacker achievement and thus the same requirement (that if given the option to bash, you must take it).

comment What are the advantages/disadvantages of the Rock Band 3 Keyboard?
@Ivo, will do ... it's always easier to comment on features of a controller after I've had months of practice using it! :)

comment What are the advantages/disadvantages of the Rock Band 3 Keyboard?
Small corrections: Pro Keys songs don't have to use both octaves, and in fact, songs on Easy (and perhaps Medium as well) will use only one, or more specifically, won't shift the chart during the song. Also, the expressions bar functions like the whammy bar on a guitar in that it can be used to get extra Overdrive on sustained Overdrive notes ... but it doesn't seem to have nearly as much of an effect in that way, either that or I haven't figured out the best technique for doing so.

comment Karaoke-style Multi-Vocals on Rock Band 3
@BlueRaja - agreed. Given that the latter case seems to be a design decision rather than a limitation, I suspect the issue on the PS3 is also a decision. I strongly dislike AIM on the 360 for just what you mention - I prefer to be making progress when I can, especially if there's a full band and some goals (like 1M on a song) are suddenly possible.

IIRC AIM is also automatically invoked if you are trying to use bass and guitar and keys in the same band - I had a panicked call from friends once while I was on vacation and they were house-sitting. Harmonix used the four-player limit and the fact you can use the keys to play bass and guitar parts (and vice versa) once you've unlocked those abilities as a reason for forcing AIM, but I don't see why it's necessary if you have only one other person (or none) playing.

comment Karaoke-style Multi-Vocals on Rock Band 3
@BlueRaja - it's not a bug, it's due to system limitations, at least on the 360. Because you can only have four players logged in at once, a full band means one player can't log in, so their solution was to boot the vocalist (because the controller isn't technically needed, although I have more success using it for percussion than tapping my mike).

comment How fragile is my Mustang “Pro Guitar” controller?
I don't play Pro Guitar often, but when I do, I tend to play without a pick ... maybe because as a bassist, I'm accustomed to fingers rather than pick anyway. I also play Pro Guitar on Easy or Medium, so that probably makes a difference as well. The one thing about picking with fingers is that it seems to take very little force at all; too much and sometimes I end up "strumming" an adjacent string as well.

comment Does the Rock Band 3 Squier lock you into playing notes/chords a certain way for the game?
I haven't played a lot of pro guitar - I'm a casual bassist and thus prefer pro bass, although I'd actually prefer it with a controller that has only four strings - but I can confirm what Chad said, that you aren't seeing chords or notes but rather frets and strings. On bass, at least, there have been times when I've wanted to play a different note, basically like in the question above (fifth fret vs. open string), so I think the charts are more about reflecting how the song was played rather than the easiest way to play the song ...

I would add Band Hero to the list, given that the OP mentioned liking pop music.

comment Oblivion (quests and races)
It might be good to know if this question is about a console version or the PC version ... if it's a console version, some of the other posts might have answers that are less applicable due to references to mods (which I believe aren't possible on a console).

comment Do I lose my achievements if I recover my Gamertag?
per Quantumgeek's comment below, this isn't entirely accurate. You'll lose only your offline achievements and gamerscore obtained since your last connection to Xbox Live. (Offline achievements and gamerscore are uploaded during your next connection, so if they've previously been uploaded, they'll be safe.)

comment Is it possible to rejoin an online dynasty game after a disconnection?
I've never been able to reconnect to any EA Sports online season game (Madden, NCAA) after being disconnected, but that doesn't mean it can't happen, and I have NCAA 10, not 11, so I can't say for sure in your case.

comment Why were my Microsoft points taken away and my money refunded?
I might be missing something, but aren't you actually ahead on this one? You had 440 points, bought 1500 points, spent 1600 points, and were refunded for 1500 points. Sounds like you're ahead 1160. (This is assuming that they didn't revoke a license for something you bought.) But I agree with the folks above: write MS, ask what happened, and post when you find out.
