Was GLaDOS initially “too mean” for Portal 2? The app-book "The Final Hours of Portal 2" reveals that she was mean and graphical enough in her descriptions of the ways she wanted to kill Chell that even her voice actor started having concerns. Book's available at thefinalhoursof.com |

How are Portal and “Black Mesa” related? According to the official timeline, GLaDOS took over the facility two days before the Black Mesa Incident; Aperture was impoverished but still operating at the time (indeed slide decks found in Portal 1 show how they were planning to sell GLaDOS to the DoD, most likely in an effort to get funding). |

How do I mod GLaDOS's voice in Portal 1? Answers: a. Steam does not 'verify' before launching. b. Removing STEAMAPPS\portal IIRC recreates it at next launch. c. It's the paid version, but I have no SDK installed. I tried both on Mac and PC. |
