comment Does it matter which character disarms a trap?
If you look at the large (wide) character sheet, et while in the village, there's a Resistances section on the right. That's where Trap Resist is. It's dependent on character class, resist level, and also on any trinkets you've got.

comment Conceding in Hearthstone
Specifically, XP comes from wins, killing minions, and playing cards. If you're gonna lose, I think it's kosher to kill or play quickly and then concede. You are denying your opponent some XP, but there's no guarantee that the opponent cares about that as much as they do about their time.

comment How does matchmaking in the Arena work?
@Martin: Yes, Blizzard has decided that you specifically will receive bad matchups and give favorable matchups to those opponents you played against. 4 whole arena matches? 2 whole play matches? That's less than an hour of gameplay.

comment Does deck choice (basic or constructed) have any impact on who you are matched with in Play mode?
Agreed. Matchmaking appears to only look at MMR, so if you gain rank and then switch to a new deck -- beware, you'll be using that n00b deck against stronger opponents.

comment Hearthstone Ranks, being stuck!
You guys are talking past each other. The game systems y'all mention try to match players with similar Elo scores, providing balanced matches. This results in players having balanced winrates. Both things happen. If your score goes up, the system will match you with better players. If the system matches you with better players, your chance of winning will decrease.
