comment Sorceresses that can survive on hell difficulty
Do you mean Hell difficulty? Because Nightmare is heaven for any caster.

comment How do I effectively use multiple skills?
Very good answer! "Attack move" is convenient. Also, having finishing move and charge-up skills on different mouse buttons makes the skill-switching less frequent.

comment Is it realistically possible to play Diablo 2 LOD on Hell difficulty using a necromancer with all points in summoning?
Did you play Diablo II after 1.10 came out? The skeletons are very powerful since. Bone spells -- not so much.

Not mentioning Amplify Damage is a huge omission. I think LR can only ever be preferred over AD versus unbreakable physical immunities. Maybe that's the reason your skeletons had trouble killing things.

comment Why are most people on the top of the Diablo 2 ladder Paladin?
Kotsu, oh, you are right. Blessed Hammer No longer ignores resistances of undead and demons since 1.13. 1.14 is not out yet though. And on uninterruption, it does not make hits miss you, does it?

comment Do Diablo II mercenaries gain new skills as they level?
This is just wrong. Act 2 Offence mercenary learns Blessed Aim on level 18. I suspect the same is true for Glacial Spike, but it's harder to observe. Also, the mercenaries' spells are upgraded as the mercenary levels up.

Wut? The second wave is undead and hammers ignore resistances of undead and demons. There is only a handful of creatures in game immune to hammers and the Baal's second wave guys do not belong them. At least it was so a few patches ago. Also, contrary to what you've said, I think concentration is purely offensive spell.

comment How does attack rating compare to damage in Diablo 2?
@Shahbaz, maybe it's time to reconsider the choice of the mercenary before you invest too much into her equipment. Not having any tank is not good for you and act 2 mercenaries are very popular for a reason -- they are very strong. Alternatively, you can adopt a bear pet. :)

That's not exact either. Some attacks, like Paladin's Smite, or Necromancer's Corpse Explosion can deal physical damage without performing the to-hit test. You can just say "normal attacks" instead. :)

@Shahbaz, I personally don't think act 1 mercenary really needs that life steal. She is not usually the one taking damage, so there is nothing to heal, and if she is taking damage, she doesn't usually last long anyway, with life leach or without. You will need to heal her with potions. So I'd choose the higher damage bow. Also, Passion is a great weapon! And I think Harmony is even better. Vigor aura is nice to have!

@Resorath, you are not mistaken. It used to show a chance to hit an equally matched opponent, but it was changed in some patch.
