Hotline Miami: What does 'Exposure' Mean?

I'm trying to get better scores, but I can only get A- because I get alota lot of exposure'exposure' stats whenwhen I complete a stage.

What does it mean? Exposure to the dead bodies/gore? or Or am I not going behind walls and just staying in the open too much?
