Apr 30, 2013 at 4:10 comment added Sevean Thanks for the +1 Django. Yeah, I agree, a lot of things are still up for debate. We are all fallible, so I guess technically they could have made a mistake. Just seems unlikely, in my opinion, since a) they were consistent throughout the entire game b) the drowning scene is the most crucial in the entire game and I'm sure Ken Levine and dozens of others reviewed it c) you are looking straight at Elizabeth for an extended period of time, and lastly d) Booker looks straight at the Elizabeth in the lighthouse and says, "Wait, you're not, who are you?"
Apr 28, 2013 at 18:11 comment added Django Reinhardt @hnielsen +1 for your logic in your first post, but I can't fathom your logic in your second. It would be a clever little twist instead of looking like an accident, if you ask me. As it stands, we're still not entirely sure it wasn't a mistake, or if it WAS our Elizabeth, but she removed the brooch because it reminded her of the time they spent together.
Apr 28, 2013 at 5:18 comment added Sevean @DjangoReinhardt It is subjective which of the two would be more effective at communicating theory #3. Personally, I think it makes more sense to remove the pendant entirely (as they did) if you're wishing to communicate that this is not "our" Elizabeth.
Apr 28, 2013 at 5:14 comment added Sevean The way I see it, and this is just my personal interpretation, prime Elizabeth ("your Elizabeth") did not enter the final lighthouse because she knew the fate that awaited Booker. She even asks, "Are you sure you want to do this?" A great attachment had developed between the two of them over the course of the game, and she did not want to witness his drowning. Alternatively, not entering the final lighthouse and instead staying in the "Columbia megaverse" may have been Elizabeth's way of ensuring her own survival.
Apr 19, 2013 at 14:38 comment added Diogo Gomes @DjangoReinhardt That would imply another, yet very similar Elizabeth. If "your" Elizabeth isn't there why would another, very similar one, be? Maybe this one had a different history where Brooch never saved her or something. These are just hypotheses.
Apr 18, 2013 at 21:21 comment added Django Reinhardt I just don't get why they wouldn't give her the OTHER brooch if they were going for #3.
Apr 2, 2013 at 14:10 comment added Diogo Gomes I did not thought of that! Great, I will wait for his answer. I'm also curious about this.
Apr 2, 2013 at 12:58 comment added Ingmar I sent him a tweeter. Let's see :)
Apr 2, 2013 at 2:53 comment added Diogo Gomes I have no idea. :) Maybe she didn't have courage to do it? Maybe she was everyone? That would be a good question for Ken Levine.
Apr 1, 2013 at 22:16 comment added Ingmar Aye, the last one - but why?
