Aug 19, 2014 at 15:54 comment added Flaunting @Quentin how do you stop it>?
Aug 19, 2014 at 15:29 comment added Quentin @Flaunting theeere you go ! If you are not on the latest snapshot, make a test in creative mode so you don't burn to death if you're on a version where the fall-through bug is still present :)

Aug 19, 2014 at 15:01 comment added Flaunting @Quentin can you also state that this only applies to 1.8 onwards as someone looking to traverse lava in the nether pre 1.8 won't be able to use this
Aug 19, 2014 at 15:00 comment added Flaunting great if you can post a design which is safe i will test it this evening
Aug 19, 2014 at 14:59 comment added BammaHamma I'd have never thought of that! It's something else you might want to include in the answer, though. If somebody comes here looking for an answer to the same question, they shouldn't have to dig through the comments to find out how to make the solution work.
Aug 19, 2014 at 14:54 comment added Flaunting Also a link only answer for site purposes can you summarise and put an example in the question
Aug 19, 2014 at 14:51 comment added BammaHamma I've never used one of these before, but I know sometimes Minecraft doesn't handle the player being moved by blocks too well and you can glitch out of the mechanism pretty easily. Does that happen very often with this type of machine? If so, it may not be the safe method OP was asking for. Otherwise, I love this answer. Awesome and creative.
