Unless you have a mod installed, the game won't throw an Ancient Dragon at you unless you are reasonably close to to that level already - I was level 40 before I started getting Ancient Dragons. The other thing to remember is that Dragon attacks in towns are far easier - the guards help, and you can stand off and use ranged weapons - just mind the guards. I have run for towns many times when attacked. | |
