Jan 26, 2015 at 15:24 | comment | added | Vanzanz | Seeds in clay pots are the safest way to "farm" herbs. It uses a LOT of clay for big volumes of pots (6 clay = 1 pot). But by the time you are building 500 - 1000 pot greenhouses, you can probably get the clay with a quick scout mission on or just under the surface layer. Notably, the clay pots can be placed, then a one and a part block layer of lava poured around them, and then they can be planted with fire blossom, that will bloom as soon as they mature. (if you have the level of lava right!) They don't get destroyed! Great for obsidian potions when you decide to explore hell. | |
