Dec 3, 2015 at 14:59 comment added king14nyr @DCShannon Sorry for that, when writing the question and landing on the original title, I wasn't thinking that "devs did that for their own reasons, we don't know" was a potential answer. I honestly thought there had to be a bigger reason than what I'd run across so far for the named raiders. The edit to the title makes it much more answerable without leading it to that unknown 'dev only' knowledge base. Thanks all!
Dec 3, 2015 at 1:48 comment added DCShannon @LessPop_MoreFizz It's not a downvote issue or anything, but obviously it's better when the question and answer explicitly match. So, it's a "problem" (i.e. less than perfect situation) to the extent that the answerer knew not to mess around with "why" too much, making the two not match perfectly.
Dec 3, 2015 at 0:46 comment added LessPop_MoreFizz Don't sweat so much the invocation of Magic Bad Words like 'why'. It's fairly clear that the person asking the question was interested in whether the named raiders mattered, and not the rationale from the developers for their existence. It's not a 'problem with the question' that they didn't massage out an ambiguous word that happens to trip over the rules when the question itself is clearly cromulent.
Dec 3, 2015 at 0:41 comment added DCShannon @VanBuzzKill That's completely fair, but that's a problem with the question. Luckily, you appear to have fixed that, and now everything's good. +1

Grammar clean up, fix for rephrased question
Dec 3, 2015 at 0:30 comment added Dallium @VanBuzzKill which is exactly why one of our Off topic RTC is "This question is about game development, which we don't do here."
Dec 3, 2015 at 0:28 comment added VanBuzzKill @DCShannon To be fair though we as players can't answer questions of why something is the way it is in a game. We can answer something like if there is an importance to named enemies, but we can't say why they are named without saying "because the devs made it that way".

Answered the big question...
Dec 3, 2015 at 0:00 comment added Ayelis Ah, yes. I got caught up in the details again. Answering the questions for bullet points 1 and 2 distracted me from the bigger question...
