Jul 18, 2016 at 17:21 comment added nightsurfer @Poolsharker I agree, justifying an SD is difficult. What I'm wondering also is if this is the case for Volskaya and Anubis. Also, to the edit just made, I'm normally that way, but in this case I got sidetracked by an annoying Tracer, and my teammates died in the process, allowing A to be captured. More of a wrong place at the wrong time kind of moment.

Let the mobile members of your team get back to kill the Genji, you slow down the other opponents from being able to get up to help capture B. I have a hard time justifying an SD, unless the edge is right next to you.

Jul 18, 2016 at 16:52 comment added NBN-Alex I agree with this answer, but I think you're thinking of Reinherdt with that charge. Otherwise, yes, SD'ing to catch up is usually useless as you'll lose more time. Even if you're at the enemy's old A spawn and they're running to C, you'll be more useful in catching them off-guard at the B spawn then getting back to the front with 10~seconds of downtime.
