May 29, 2012 at 16:03 | comment | added | Lester Peabody | This post should be revisited and edited every once in a while as Blizzard keeps wailing away with the nerf bat. Good writeup overall.

May 24, 2012 at 15:14 | comment | added | Chris | There really should be a third section of this post for Level 60 Build since you can hugely increase your dps with Elemental Nether Tentacles, Sharpshooter, etc. This is an alright build for general survivability and damage but really lacks in the end-game-dps department.

May 24, 2012 at 14:36 | comment | added | Kappei | @Oak even if the tooltip says otherwise the duration of Smoke Screen is now 1 second, that becomes 1.5 with Lingering Fog
May 23, 2012 at 22:35 | comment | added | Oak | Smoke Screen most definitely does not turn you invulnerable, I've been hit many times by projectiles that were launched before I activated it. Also, Lingering Fog changes the duration from 2 seconds to 3, not from 2 to 5.
May 23, 2012 at 17:46 | comment | added | LessPop_MoreFizz | @Kappei You don't use the bat companion for it's damage, that's just icing. You use the bat companion for 3 hatred/second.
May 23, 2012 at 17:44 | comment | added | Kappei | @LessPop_MoreFizz from what I've seen the animal companions have a very low attack speed, even if they do a higher damage. I may be wrong, but from my experience they're not worth the slot.
May 23, 2012 at 17:42 | comment | added | Kappei | @WetX Smoke Screen is going to be nerfed(duration halved for both base and runed), does this change your build?

Updated the possibility to fully Customize your skills with ELECTIVE MODE (Special shout out to LessPop_MoreFizz for showing me that this is possible), along with a change from Sentry ----> Bat Companion.

May 22, 2012 at 18:24 | comment | added | LessPop_MoreFizz | Why not drop Sentry for Bat Companion? Similar mindless free damage, and a nose source of free hatred to boot!

May 22, 2012 at 17:35 | comment | added | WetX | 3. I can't stress enough the importance of conserving your discipline usage. Time your smoke screen and preparation right and you will have no difficulty finishing a mode in 7 hours. Hope that helps.
May 22, 2012 at 17:34 | comment | added | WetX | 2. You will always be shooting from afar, and hungering strike's + the rune will be very beneficial (when the arrow splits 3 way it doesn't only deal damage to other enemies, sometimes it bounces back towards the same target you aim at). You deal more damage with hungering strike's rune choices overall.
May 22, 2012 at 17:34 | comment | added | WetX | When you get surrounded, you always want to have full control of where u go. Now that I'm in hell stage, I don't even use vault/tumble anymore as I stick with my "post 45 build". My smoke screen is just up 24/7 and I can destroy just standing right next to the enemy if I am lazy, so no point having evasive fire.
May 22, 2012 at 17:34 | comment | added | WetX | 1. You incur additional discipline cost while tumbling away, whilst not being able to fully control which direction you are tumbling away from, example, when you are being attacked by enemies from all direction at times (which means sometimes instead of tumbling AWAY from the enemy mob u end up tumbling INTO them).
May 22, 2012 at 10:50 | comment | added | Kappei | Why not using evasive fire instead of Hungering arrow? You get a higher damage and a higher Hatred regeneration.
