Nov 13, 2013 at 14:02 comment added SIMEL @Ricardo, I checked it and apparently, if a stunned enemy is killed by an explosion its weapon will disintegrate and you won't get the weapon nor the wp. Tested on a stunned sectoid and a rocket launcher.
Nov 11, 2013 at 15:35 comment added SIMEL @Ricardo, so apparently I was wrong. I can't say I know what happens to a stunned enemy's weapons if they are killed by an explosion. I'll try to experiment on this if I'll have the opportunity.
Nov 11, 2013 at 15:01 comment added Ricardo @IlyaMelamed That doesn't seem right. I've already stunned an enemy who was later destryed by a car explosion. During the mission, the alien went from stunned (with those sparks coming out of it) to deceased. I just didn't take note if I got the intact weapon and live specimen for interrogation in the end or just a corpse and weapon fragments. This GameFAQs link gamefaqs.com/pc/655782-xcom-enemy-unknown/answers?qid=335627 seems to corroborate my point.
Nov 11, 2013 at 0:30 comment added Ricardo @IlyaMelamed what happens if you stun an enemy and later it is destroyed, say, by a nearby car explosion? Do you get weapon fragments instead of the intact weapon in this case?

Oct 24, 2012 at 18:16 comment added SIMEL @DamienStark, yes, you are correct. There is no way of transforming weapons to weapons fragments.
Oct 24, 2012 at 16:29 comment added Damien Stark Just to clarify, if you stun/capture an enemy, you receive their weapon intact, which means you do NOT receive any fragments from them, correct? Is there any way to "scrap" weapons you have in order to turn them into fragments?
Oct 22, 2012 at 5:40 comment added Orc JMR ...or, to word it funnier, a mind merge initiator kills his merge target faster than the explosion that kills them both :) Such a caring comrade :)

Oct 20, 2012 at 22:42 comment added l I also, if an enemy is killed while under the alien buff (i.e. scetoids), its weapons will become weapon fragments, even if they and the buffer was killed in the same explosion.
