I want to know if there is some way to obtain Mew in Pokemon Fire Red (Spanish version). I have the ROM emulated in my android phone (with My Boy Free). But there should be no difference between the real deal.

There is no known way of obtaining Mew within FireRed or LeafGreen, outside of messing with the save data / memory / ROM yourself (i.e., cheating/hacking) or getting it by trading (i.e., an event). There are no glitches that would enable a Mew encounter, either.

Here's a video walkthrough that explains the process:

It says blue but should work on either blue or red.

Here are the full instructions. They are quite complex, and you may need to restart your game:

  1. Restart your saved game if you went too far in the game. This glitch requires you to battle Gambler and Youngster.

  2. Go in front of the Gambler below the underground path from Lavender town to Celadon City and press the Start button immediately. Instead of not letting you pause the game, your Pause Menu will appear.

  3. Fly to Cerulean City. The gambler will see you after you press fly and you'll hear his music, but you will then fly to Cerulean city anyway. Your start button won't yet work, but it will shortly after.

  4. Go up to the Youngster in the bush area just after Nugget Bridge. He's the second Youngster you come across and he's facing up. He's also standing above a "Lass". He's very easy to beat now, as he only has a Slowpoke.

  5. Defeat the trainer and fly all the way back to Lavender Town. Your start button should work.

  6. Walk to the left exit of the town. Your pause menu should pop-up automatically.

  7. Exit out of the pause menu to begin battle. Be careful because Mew will only be at level 7!

  8. Catch the Mew with the Master Ball or weaken it using attacks. Or, if it is weakened enough, try catching it with a Poké Ball.

From what the original poster is saying. I think he meant Pokemon Fire Red. My Boy Free doesn't play original Gameboy games. – user66184 Apr 15 '14 at 15:21

@Thebluefish the original post was referring to red at first I'm pretty sure a later edit changed it – Dupree3 Apr 15 '14 at 15:48

@Dupree3 At the time Gilbert answered this, the question title was "How do i get Mew in Pokemon Red Fire?" – BlueRaja - Danny Pflughoeft Apr 16 '14 at 3:50
