A search on our forum, and google search on this topic get me nowhere.

So how can I set my default player color?

Hitting Alt-F will switch player colors into red for enemy, yellow for allies, and green for self - NOT what I'm looking for.

You can't.

It is only possible to choose your color in Custom Games or Arcade, but not in Matchmaking.

I think you Can chose your Color. But you can chose how you See yourself and your opponent. you can set it to be always default colors like blue and red (or something else, I don't remember). – klm123 Jul 31 '15 at 8:31

@klm123 That does not change your real color (i.e. the one that is saved into a replay, for example). This is just a display setting, separate for any viewer. Your real color is random in matchmaking (you get Red or Blue in 1v1), but you can turn on Team Colors (a button next to the minimap) at any point of the game or replay playback. – Orc JMR Jul 31 '15 at 8:54

Team Colors are Green for yourself (or whoever you are following in a replay), Yellow for allies, and Red for enemies. – Orc JMR Jul 31 '15 at 8:55
  • Yes, this is what I wanted to tell:) Mb it will help OP. – klm123 Jul 31 '15 at 9:06
  • @klm123 Yeah, as Orc JMR said, it's not helping for my need. Let's say I like yellow and want to play every game with yellow as my player color. – Nam G VU Jul 31 '15 at 13:23
