I've been playing Pillars of Eternity from GOG, and I just bought the White March DLC. It downloaded and installed the first part just fine, but it said downloading the second part failed, and suddenly the game isn't playable anymore.

I went to the folder to try to run it directly, and I found that PillarsOfEternity.exe is now a 0 KB file!

I restarted Galaxy, and now the game isn't in my list of games at the left, and if I try manually scanning for it using "Scan and Import Folders," it doesn't register as a valid game.

Does anyone know how to fix this without having to re-download 20+ GB of content?

  • You should probably contact GoG support about this, not us. Chances are they will just say redownload, though – Rapitor Nov 7 '16 at 13:54
  • @Rapitor Probably. I was just hoping someone here would know some detail about what it is Galaxy is looking for and not finding that prevents it from registering the game so I can run a repair on it. – Mason Wheeler Nov 7 '16 at 13:55
  • If you're lucky, the installer may still be in GoG's temporary downloads folder. – Nolonar Nov 7 '16 at 14:06
  • @Nolonar Thanks! That got the game up and running again, though Galaxy still doesn't recognize it. – Mason Wheeler Nov 7 '16 at 14:40
