I recently overrode a Watcher, because I thought it would be funny. Another Watcher came up and kicked him a few times, while I shook my head in disappointment, thinking my Watcher would die in less time than it took for me to override it. However, my Watcher stood up and headbutted the other Watcher and instantly killed it.

Obviously, my overridden Watcher received some buffs for it to be able to do this, but how much are overridden Machines buffed? Is it just damage or is their health increased also?

Confirmed for me; I hacked a Snapmaw, and it killed another Snapmaw and 3 Glinthawks and still survived. – David Yell Mar 7 '17 at 11:53
  • Its harder to kill them so their damage must go up. For example a watcher can take a couple full spear strikes and survive. – PatFromCanada Apr 19 '17 at 16:06
  • @PatFromCanada well yeah, but I was curious as to exactly how much. – Vemonus Apr 19 '17 at 16:14

I don't know exactly how much, but it's generally a safe bet that one overridden machine will take out 2-3 comparable machines before being destroyed (playing on 'Hard' difficulty). Unless it's unlucky and gets stunned/knocked-down early in the fight. Good way to clear out nests of machines, except that it doesn't award any XP for kills. – aroth Jul 4 '17 at 2:12
  • True that, It's also pretty easy to snipe the enemy's last sliver of health and take the full XP reward after your overridden machine did 95% of the work. – Lee Gildemeester May 8 '18 at 0:35
