BACK TO THE POINT

I have score S. In that score, I have 5. I need an armor stand's name to be '5'. In other words...

Score value = entity name

Any ideas how?

  • Unfortunately I don't think it's possible to plug a score into an entity's NBT data, but I hope I'm wrong about this because there are some other really cool possible applications if it is possible – Unionhawk Nov 8 at 15:37
  • Only way is trough the boring one, make a command for each score value you wish. Either way, what do you need it for? It might be possible to do something else. – Bruno Rodrigues Nov 8 at 19:33
  • It is actually possible, I think. I'll write an answer when I have more time. In short: Names are now JSON, so you can use a JSON tag for scores. – Fabian Röling Nov 8 at 19:43
  • I ran /summon minecraft:armor_stand ~ ~ ~ {CustomName:"{\"score\":{\"name\":\"KrashinCyclone\",\"objective\":\"testobj\"}}",CustomNameVisible:1b} but it did not work. It just summoned an armor stand without a name. – HalpMe Nov 9 at 4:26
  • Hm, maybe it doesn't work then. I definitely remember that many JSON tags are weird in CustomName, maybe this is one of them. – Fabian Röling Nov 10 at 16:38
