Is there any way to get the name ID for mod items? I have no idea how to do it at the moment, and I have tried the name with all the capital letter and underscore combinations I could try, can you please help?

You can press F3 + H which will enable tooltips. You can now hover over an item or block to see its id.

  • This did not work at all because it either did nothing or set my volume up. – LAKottke Nov 21 '19 at 16:07
  • Which operating system are you using? these combinations don't work on every system by default, more on how to resolve that on the wiki: minecraft.gamepedia.com/Controls – MegaCrafter10 Nov 21 '19 at 16:50

I looked in the json files and did

/give popcorn_mod:popcornblock

and it worked! It also answered my other question of How to make an item that destroys mod blocks

  • Who removed the comment from the person who told me how to do this and where i said "Thanks to this guy!" – LAKottke Nov 19 '19 at 22:52
  • I'd imagine he did. I didn't see anything wrong with the comment so it probably wasn't a mod. I removed the part from a question because it didn't add anything to the answer and would have done better as a comment. – Robbie Nov 19 '19 at 23:27
