So, lately I've had problems and such with minecraft so I decided it would be good to give the game a fresh re-install. I made a copy of all my saves, mods and resource packs, then I deleted the minecraft folder and launcher. Upon re-installing the launcher and finishing updating, there are no versions. If I try running latest release, it does nothing since the versions folder with all the version .jar files is nonexistant. How can I re-download them? I'm on MacOS.

Thanks in advance.

  • The launcher should download the game when you click "play"? Does it not? – Corsaka Sep 14 at 11:19
