So imagine this situation: You're in a discord call, and you and your friends are hopping on Minecraft. Your computer is pretty old though, and it takes a while to boot up. When it finally does, you wait through the "Wait a moment..." screen, and then click on Minecraft, only for the launcher to attempt to update, only for a pop-up to appear that is written with an error message that says [note to self: replace this with the error message]. How do I fix this, since downloading the new launcher doesn't work (the installer doesn't open, it previously caused a freeze when attempting to download it), and I want to play Minecraft on my PC again since I have servers that I can play on with other people, unlike on my Switch (since linking a Microsoft account is the equivalent of the hardest Algebra question in the universe to me) where I can only play with other people on the Switch.
