On certain heists, you can gain and use heist specific favors in the ready up screen. For example, on Road Rage, you can place an alternate loot pickup that's active immediately. How do you gain heist specific favors?

    The devs talked about this in a recent live-stream. IIRC there is a chance that you get a favour after completing a heist. The favor can be for any heist. Not just the one you completed. I know that you can stack multiple however.

They're gained randomly after completing a heist. I believe you can get them from any heist and not just the heist they're for (but I'm not 100% certain on that detail).

  • You are right. Favours can be heist specific, but don't need to be and can be found or purchased. What ever you find or what is on offer in the shop can change and is not set in a certain order.

Heist favours in PayDay 3 can be purchased or found during the quiet phase during heists.

I have found this guide on Game Rant (Find the guide under this link) regarding PayDay3 favours.

Especially this excerpt might help you:

Players need to flip to the vendors' tab in the main menu to purchase items. Favors can be found all the way at the bottom of the weapon dealer Gage's shop inventory. They will be right underneath the weapon stickers. Favors only cost $10,000 and are well worth the small investment. Check back between each heist for different items. Be on the lookout for unique items like QR codes that will make certain heists easier.

  • The QR code bit doesn't have anything to do with favors. Additionally the question is about heist-specific favors, the ones bought in Gage's shop are generic and can be used on any heist.
