I want to build a memory palace for myself, which is basically a method of remembering various things through locations.

For this reason, I wanted to play a point-and-click game with a large map and remember each location vividly.

Do you know of such games?

All games that come to my mind are fairly small: Myst, Grim Fandango, etc.

By square footage or by screens?

  • I'm the kind of person that strongly prefers the Lucasfilm adventure games era/style. I think the last adventure game I attempted to play that I didn't get into because I felt it was too big was The Longest Journey. Seemed like a good game, but I didn't have the time or patience for it. Nov 19 at 8:20
  • Why does it have to be from a point-and-click game? Games like those of the Baldur's Gate and The Witcher series also have relatively large, mostly hand-made (or -curated) maps, with very specific and beautiful or appalling locations, some conjuring up quite intense emotions.

  • By screens if possible :-) Nov 19 at 18:59
  • I am voting to close this question, because I don't think that "map sizes" between different games are comparable.
