Metroid II: Return of Samus is the 2nd game in the Metroid series. Samus Aran is ordered by the Galactic Federation to go to the homeworld of the Metroids, SR-388, and exterminate them. It was released in 1991 for the Game Boy in Japan. A planned Game Boy Color re-release (like Link's Awakening DX) was abandoned by Nintendo.
