Super Mario Bros. is the first Mario game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Released 1985, it was available as a pack-in for all NESes sold (along with Duck Hunt in some cases). In it, Mario must traverse the 8 Worlds of the Mushroom Kingdom, divided into 4 stages each, and go to the castle to rescue the Princess Toadstool.
