Following the way of similar question for the [Monk](http://gaming.stackexchange.com/q/67564/23609) and the [Barbarian](http://gaming.stackexchange.com/q/69523/23609), I'd like to ask the same question for the Demon Hunter.

I know that there's a [similar question](http://gaming.stackexchange.com/q/67924/23609), but its focus was Nightmare difficulty and none of the answers addressed Inferno.

Now to the question: for a Demon Hunter, high DPS should come natural through a correct itemization. At the moment (I'm still in Nightmare), I'm focusing on damage-increasing skills, since a high-dps grants me an easy dispatch of my enemies, without having to worry of being touched. Is this the main focus even at higher difficulties? Or should I switch to health restoring abilities (as [Elemental Arrow](http://d3db.com/skill/i/elemental-arrow) with [Nether Tentacles](http://d3db.com/runestone/i/elemental-arrow/d), or [Marked for Death](http://d3db.com/skill/i/marked-for-death) with [Death Toll](http://d3db.com/runestone/i/marked-for-death/e), or [Shadow Power](http://d3db.com/skill/i/shadow-power)), to balance the higher lethality of the monsters? I'm mainly interested in solo builds.

Example builds, with explanation of the choices, would be greatly appreciated.
