Press escape ingame and on the bottom right there should be a bit to select which XP boost you wish to activate.
You will then get 1 hour of XP boost. That hour only ticks down while playing. If you activate another one it will overwrite the current one so make sure you use the full hour before activating a new one.
To take down a tank all by yourself, the best way is C4. It takes 3 C4 to be sure to kill a LAV, tank or boat. Jeeps and Armored transport (Humvees, Vans, etc) takes 2 for a sure kill.
Note that 2 piece of C4 might kill a tank if you put them on the right spot (mostly on it's rear from what I found). If you put two pieces on the sides, it will disable the ...

Sight acquisition means transitioning your focus from the target to the sight of your weapon in order to shoot.
A scoped weapon puts the target and the crosshairs in the same vertical plane. There's no choice of what to focus on. An iron sighted weapon, however, has three distinct vertical planes - the rear sight, the front sight, and the ...
Bring down the console with the ~ (tilde) key and type
Leave that up while playing. What you're looking for here is spikes that show you what the bottleneck is: CPU (yellow) or GPU (green).
The China Rising Bomber is deployed from one of the control points that is held by your team on Conquest mode. The trailer you need to enter is a yellow "portable" box with a radar disk on the side. Once you enter it, the system connects you to an inbound bomber which flys fairly quickly across the map. The bomber can drop 4 JDAM bombs and a cruise missile ...
There are 6 multiplayer weapons you can unlock through the campaign. You can check them under Assignments -> Single Player Assignments. They are as follows:
TOMBSTONE ACTUAL (CAMPAIGN)
FANG OF THE UNDERWORLD (CAMPAIGN)
Complete Kunlun Mountains
A TRAPPED WOLF WILL (CAMPAIGN)
It is the zeroing mechanism. This means that if you have it zeroed at 500m, the cross-hairs are dead on at 500m. This allows you to make distance shots much easier. If you were to zero the scope at 500m and shoot at a target at 100m, your shot would hit much higher than your cross-hairs. Previously, your only option was to compensate for bullet drop by ...
Golmud Railway: There is a mobile flag on a train, that drives (slowly) to the current owners base. There are also somewhat hidden explosives scattered about the map. They can be triggered by a computer nearby. The explosions leave big holes, providing some cover.
Hainan Resort: There are oil puddles which can be set aflame, producing a smokescreen for ...
Battlefield 4 Premium is a permanent purchase. You won't need to buy it again for this game. Ever.
Battlefield 4 Premium is not linked with Hardline in any way.
BF3 Premium did not transfer to BF4 either.
More information about BF4 Premium is available on the official website.
It's a feature called Aim Assist.
It is designed to make aiming slightly easier, especially for console users, by "snapping" to an enemy should they cross the centre of your reticle.
It can be disabled in the game options.
Those are your "Field Upgrades" you can unlock and earn many different upgrades which you can switch out like a kit. Each one has 4 levels of perks that they give. Each bar is a new perk. As you fill up your bar, you unlock more perks. You'll see in that screenshot they have unlocked 1 of 4 of their perks currently.
You get points towards these perks by ...
To mute people in Battlefield 4, simply do the following;
Press Escape or press the button to bring up the game menu (on console)
Select Team Set-up/Scoreboard
Toggle the speaker symbol next to the player you wish to mute
This will mute the selected person/people and you will no longer be able to hear them.
It basically chooses the camouflage most suited for your environment. It's so you don't have to choose the right camouflage all the time when you switch maps.
There seem to be 8 groups of camouflage:
One-Off Patterns that do not fit into any other categories.
Colors determined by the current map on server.
Say you are playing Conquest. When someone issues an order you will see something like this over the flag identifier:
It will be an attack order on an enemy flag or objective and a defend on your own flag or objective. So you will see the symbol when you look towards the flag/objective in first person with the identifier (letter) with those marks around it.
Yes, when turning the laser sight on and off you will actually see your reticle (in normal, not hardcore modes) get smaller and bigger.
Testing this by firing at a wall ~15m away will show you what the actual difference in size the spray pattern is.
I'll post my comment as an answer, just in case.
If you set Origin to "Offline" and click on the Battlefield 3/4 icon the game should just launch and give you the option of campaign missions.
I found this out by mistake once when my Origin was offline and it lauched straight into the campaign. I was mightily confused until I realised it was offline.
Well Matt's answer is not quite true. While no "official" support, it can be done, if you are playing on PC and are running a server. I ran a Test Range server for a few weeks when the trick first came out but issues with moving people made me cancel it.
If you have a server with RCON access (mine was with Multiplay and their ClanForge panel) enter these ...
I don't think this is a glitch.
Normally, there are three different vehicles (one for each country) of the same vehicle category (MBT, IFV, AA, etc.) but for some vehicle categories (e.g. Scout Heli, Fast Attack Craft) there are only two. The reason you see two Z-11W-s is because both Russians and Chinese use the same chopper Z-11W whereas USA uses the ...
On the Xbox, press Start to bring up the Respawn / Quit / etc menu. In the lower right will be XP boosts you can choose from.
The XP boost items don't stack with themselves; you can only use one at a time. They do however stack multiplicatively with double-XP weekends. Ie if you use a 200% boost, you get 3x experience, so that 100 point kill is worth 300 ...
There's a much easier way, this way origin will still be online so all your save data gets synced as you play. Simply create a shortcut, right click and select properties, select target and write "singleplayer" at the end after \bf3.exe"
I did some testing by myself in the Testing Range on Xbox 360, killing myself via grenades or various hilarious helicopter mishaps and then seeing what persisted after respawn. Here's what I learned:
Despawns on death: First Aid Pack, Medic Bag, Ammo Pack, Ammo Box, C4.
These disappear when you die, no matter what loadout you choose next. These may persist ...
There are 4 pillars on the front of the building which need to be destroyed. You can achieve this with RPGs, Tank shells, C4 and Missile emplacements. Also likely are Chopper rockets and IFV cannon, although I have not tested this.
The 4 pillars you need to destroy are the ones shown below. They already have some exposed reinforcement bars showing.
The same happened to me and I almost lost it...
You have to press the key left to the "1". On some keyboard layout it's the tilde key.
It also happened that I had to hit it multiple times until the console disappeared.
It is done by working with your squads. Squad points are made when healing a squad mate, being a spawn point, capping a designated flag, etc.
If you lone wolf, your squad will take more time unlocking them. Same goes if your squad leader does not give orders. Only the squad part of the points will go toward your unlocks. So let's say you get a squad savior, ...
As far as I can tell, you can't upload a jpeg as an emblem. But there are lots of talented people that have created a vast array of different emblems for use.
Here a couple links you may find useful:
This is showing that a friendly Man-Portable Active Protection System (MP-APS) is active and the white area is showing the "protected" area. If the white line is blinking it means it is offline/recharging.
For an overview of how the MPAPS works, see this Battlefield 4 wiki page, however, it is a support gadget that works very similar to active protection. ...

Our friends over at Symthic have discovered a few of these items by
data mining the latest Battlefield 4 files, including an award for the
mysterious Phantom Trainee assignment, presumably a continuation of
the “Phantom Prospect” assignment.
Phantom Trainee Assignment:
•Score 200 kills with pistols
•Score 20 kills in a jet
