Dungeon Siege II is a 2005 RPG developed by Gas Powered Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios. It was released only for Windows PC. It is the sequel to Dungeon Siege, which was released in 2002.
The player takes control of a mercenary in the army of Valdis, who is a warlord that is allied with the Dark Wizard race. The player and his/her friend Drevin are ordered to capture a temple that is in the control of the Dryads. However, after capturing the temple, Valdis betrays the player, knocking them unconscious and killing their friend Drevin. Once the player awakes, the Dryads spare you, and allow you to earn back your freedom by helping take down Valdis.
