There are four hovercars to choose (those of Captain Falcon, Dr. Stewart, Pico, and Samurai Goroh), fifteen tracks divided into three leagues (Knight, Queen, and King), and four selectable difficulty levels,

F-Zero made extensive use of the SNES "Mode 7" and was the first installment of the F-Zero franchise.
