In the beginning there was BuildCraft, and IndustrialCraft2, and the players had pumps and generators and lo, it was good.
Then the Nether tempted some. The vast lakes of lava were pumped and fed into the hungry maws of geothermal generators. For a time all was well, until more than one player decided to pump the Nether for power. The flowing lava and the ...
There is a solution that does not require mods, you just need a way to track the location where you are going to die. So you're about to die... I was falling into lava and hit escape before I bit the big one. I didn't know what to do, I was literally a block away from lava.
Save and Exit.
Find your level.dat folder in your .minecraft/saves folder. Now ...
The simple way is to use a timer with a ridiculously long time set. However, since you can only increment the time 10 seconds at a time, this would require 4320 clicks. A bit much.
We can do better with a simple circuit that uses maths to extend the time between pulses.
The number of seconds we want to count is 43200. This can be expressed as 2^6 x 3^3 x ...
Looking at the Turtle API you will see the getFuelLimit() is only implemented in version 1.6, and you are running version 1.57.
From the wiki:
Added by version 1.6 of ComputerCraft, this command returns the maximum amount of fuel a turtle may store. By default, a regular turtle may hold 20,000 units, and an advanced model 100,000 units; both values can be ...
Research is an exciting journey, the results are fantastic (most of the time anyway).
First dig a hole, find some crystal shards, make clusters out of them and decorate the area around your bookcase with them. Oh, you didn't have a bookcase? Every self respecting mage has his research table accompanied by a bookcase!
Then you'll need a way to get those ...
You could place a beacon nearby that would give them a regeneration buff. Starvation causes a loss of 1 point every 4 seconds, while a level 1 regeneration buff gives 1 point every 25 ticks (or 1.25 seconds), so you should be able to keep them at full health even when their hunger bar is empty.
The LV Transformer outputs 32 eu/packet which causes the cable to explode. It doesn't matter how much is requested as the EU network deals in packets.
All machines that run on EU have a certain packet size they can accept or output. This is independent of what is doing the accepting.
Tin cables are only meant to collect the output from low tier generators (...
After looking around a bit, there appear to be two possible reasons for that.
Firstly, selecting a new world does not work, since the skyblock is not generated like that. If you don't have a savegame already for some reason, you can download the map here. Put it in your saves directory inside your directory for AS, launch the game and select that world.
Let me begin by saying that the Rednet API in ComputerCraft is... fun. I imagine about as fun as any given netcoding could ever be, I suppose.
You can do one of two things. You can either transfer your program to the turtle with a floppy disk and send it a command to run that program from the computer, or, you can actually push an entire lua program to a ...
The stacks will stay right where they are. The way that I prevent this is by making an IO Port, and sticking the new storage cells with duplicate entries in before connecting it to the network. This is a block that will take any items in a storage cell, and insert them into its network, leaving you with an empty storage cell.
There are various mods that make milk a proper liquid that can be poured, so to drink it requires bottles.
Hover over the bucket of milk in your inventory and press U for crafting recipes. There is probably one involving bottles.
According to this reddit page, it isn't possible with the current versions Feed The Beast launcher. Instead, it was suggested that you export the modpack to the MultiMC launcher and launch it offline through that.
Exporting modpacks to MultiMC
In order to play Feed The Beast modpacks with MultiMC, you will need to download them using the offical Feed The ...
One option is to use MCEdit to load up the world you were playing in and move your character out of the lava. You will still die from the burning when you log back in, but your items will not fall in the lava, so you will be able to pick them back up.
Even better, as Robotnik suggested, you could move yourself into water to put the fire out.

Due to the nature of the mods and the level of configuration of them this may vary between setups. However, there is a faster way than waiting for the bees to simply give you enough silky comb.
With FTB Ultimate you have Twilight Forest installed. Down in the depths in their chests you can find a handy block called an Uncrafting Table. This little doodad ...
It looks like you have your public IP typed into the Private IP field on your port forwarding setup. The public IP is assigned to your modem/router by your ISP.
You will want to instead put your private/internal IP in that field. This is the IP assigned to your computer by your router. You can find your internal IP (under Windows) by opening cmd.exe and ...
The Redpower2 mod for Minecraft removes the default chance of a mob dropping its head, and instead adds the Vorpal enchantment. When killed with a Vorpal enchanted weapon, mobs and players have a chance to drop their head, increasing with a higher Vorpal level. Unfortunately, this affect does not work on wither skeletons. The Vorpal enchantment also gives a ...
In addition to using the various pumps from IndustrialCraft, RedPower, and BuildCraft, what I usually do in my quarries is place a water source block in one of the top layers that are mined out.
As the quarry keeps mining the water will fill the entire surface of quarry and will instantly transform any lava to obsidian, which can be mined out without ...
The crash report explains itself right at the top:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Slot 250 is already occupied by forestry.apiculture.gadgets.BlockBeehives@1a37a86e when adding chocolate.mods.BD.BlockMobSpawner@70aa8b52
Better Dungeons is trying to use the same block ID for its new mob spawner blocks as the wild beehives in Forestry. You have to fix ...
Redstone engines are completely safe, and cannot explode or overheat. If they have nothing to pump, they will actually speed up! (Although they will slow down again when they come under load).
If the liquid has nowhere to go, it will back up in the pipe. The engine will continue to pump, but this won't damage anything, and you won't lose any liquid.
An electric furnace is far superior to an iron furnace, due to its ability to use energy efficiently.
Imagine you need 10 energy to complete a task. Coal uses 20 energy in this example because it will be used up entirely. However say you use a battery it will take 10/20 of its energy and you will be able to use it again producing twice as much for the same ...
You're going to need to dive into Blood Magic: Alchemical Wizardry to be able to do this. To get a 1 minute flight potion flask, you'll need at least a tier 2 blood altar, and an Apprentice Blood Orb. A basic flight potion can be crafted in an Alchemical Chemistry Set using a Weak Binding Agent, a Feather, and a Potion Flask using 200 LP:
This basic tier of ...
Wondering why your Quantum Helmet doesn't operate as advertised? As of IC2 v1.110, the Quantum Helmet can refill your hunger with carried canned food, at an EU cost of 10,000 EU per point. And, of course, at the cost of carrying said canned goods around.
Alternatively, you could look into foods with higher saturation. Ambrosia, crafted from bee products, ...
Vorpal Enchantment: (RP2)
Vorpal Levels: 1-4
; Each rank increases the likelihood of the effect.
Effect: Beheads the enemy, killing the player or mob and dropping their head. Does not seem to affect Wither Skeletons. Note that this is a 1-shot kill chance and is a powerful enchant.
no by design, for exactly the reason you cited, (the developer explicitly removed the ability from turtle to be able to right click them I heard)
however an auto-fueled low-tier steam engine row can be powered by a small tree farm easily
