"Spot healing" just means healing whoever needs healing at the time. Typically healers have a specific assignment such as tank healing or raid healing, in order to prevent overlap and to make sure that everyone who needs healing can get it. Spot healing can refer to a raid healer who puts some heals on the tank during an emergency, or who uses a single ...
Since Warlords of Draenor, there have been multiple Hearthstone reference added to the game:
You can buy items related to Hearthstone from a NPC named Benjamin Brode in your Garrison. He is named after and is a tribute to Ben Brode, the Hearthstone Senior Game Designer. You can buy from him:
A Winning Hand (Use: Show everyone that you just won a game of ...
Each continent roughly corresponds to an expansion e.g. an arc in the timeline.
Outlands: Burning Crusade (2007). It is unmodified.
Northrend: Wrath of the Lich King (2008). It is unmodified.
Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor: Cataclysm (2010). This expansion completely replaces the quests and map from the classic version of the game. The classic story arc ...
Assuming you aren't a mage and can't teleport yourself:
The fastest way to Dalaran is to teleport yourself with one of the sixteen rings of the Kirin Tor. If you played during Wrath, you might still have one laying around in Void Storage. If not, well, they start at 6800 gold (at Exalted with the Kirin Tor). Visit Harold Winston to buy one.
You can also ...
After patch 6.1, both answers are no longer valid. An account that has been active will revert to the same privileges as a starter account once the subscription has expired. Blizzard stated that they personally thought it was counterintuitive that someone who has never subscribed can play indefinitely for free, while someone who had a subscription can only ...
There are many effects that occur but I wouldn't classify any of them as "Fatal". The things that will happen:
Your screen goes blurry
You can't really walk straight anymore (swimming and flying can be really tough)
If you say something in chat "S" will occasionally become "SH" and sometimes a "...hic!" is added randomly.
The level of ...
To prevent the download from pausing while you're playing WoW, do the following in the Blizzard App
Click the Blizzard icon near the upper-left corner.
Click Game Install/Update on the left side.
Uncheck "Pause updates when I launch a game." You may need to scroll down to see this option.
Click the Done button in the lower-right.
All mounts now will auto-scale to the skill of the rider. If you have a higher riding (or flying) skill, the mount will fly faster, if you are level 20, it will ride at 60% (the standard level 20 speed), regardless of the mount.
There are exceptions, such as the Sea Turtle, which do not increase speed with riding skill.
He never died.
He wasn't killed in SoO, you probably skipped the cutscene at the end of the raid?
The Pandaren arrested him for trial, but he was able to escape (Kairozdormu helped him) and used the time portal afterwards.
In order for a pet to count as being "leveled yourself", you have to level it up at least one time. You can buy level 24 pets, level them up once, and this will count towards the 15 pet requirement.
This is confirmed in wowhead comments for the Pro Pet Group achievement.
People may want to lock a character into a specific PvP group. The PvP groups go from x0 - x4 or x5 - x9 (eg 10 - 14) so by locking to 10, 11, 12, 13, or 14 you stick in a particular group.
It's mostly done by people who are engaging in twinking, which is kitting a low level character out in the best, most expensive PvP gear available at that level and just ...
Blizzard is aware that some older DirectX 11 cards without Shader Model 5 support are no longer compatible after the updates. They are working on a fix that will allow players to continue to play on older cards, but it will take a couple weeks for them to implement this.
For the last few ...
There are multiple different types of mobile vendor, with differing features. Some will only buy items off you, some will repair, and some have an inventory of items that you can purchase. The items they stock depends largely on the expansion they were released in.
Guild Page - 300 gold, 8 hour cooldown, requires honoured with your guild to get
There are multiple types of currency available in World of Warcraft, in addition to gold. Each currency is earned a different way.
This section deals with currencies that are "current" as of the latest expansion - Mists of Pandaria.
Gold is the primary currency used for buying items from most vendors and from the auction ...
Bots will typically be external programs, they run in their own process and affect the client in ways not intended.
Add-Ons use the APIs that Blizzard have presented, in the Lua scripting language. They run inside of the client. What they can actually achieve is limited by Blizzard so that it doesn't, in their mind, affect the game experience in a ...
This is somewhat of a broad question. There is more obvious horde presence on Kalimdor (Orgrimmar, the capital, and Thunder Bluff are both located there), but there is an Alliance presence as well (Darnassus and sort of the Exodar). The continents are designed such that there is a clear leveling path (with a few branches) on either continent regardless of ...
This is typically referred to as an object being "drawn". The distance at which is occurs is known as Draw distance.
Wikipedia has an article on this, specifically relating it to video games and the "popping" phenomenon it produces. Here is an excerpt:
Older games had far shorter draw distances, most noticeable in vast, open scenes. Racing arcade games ...
"Spot healing" is the short form of "On-the-spot healing", it means healing a target for large amounts that unexpectedly / exceptionally needs a large burst of heal, requiring the healer to make an "on the spot" decision to heal this target with a strong heal, as opposed to just doing their normal spell rotation to keep the group/raid ...
Bots completely automate a given process without user input beyond installing it. Bots play the game for you.
Addons do not automatically take action on your behalf, while they may provide hints and helpers they perform no action unless you tell them to do so.
In your example of Deadly Boss Mods - DBM only tells you that something is about to happen, it ...
Call Blizzard support. There are lots of reasons why an account can get banned (unless of course you broke the rules yourself then you know the reason) for example, they will ban accounts that get compromised, but if you can prove it's really you this time, they can unban and reactivate your account. Banned account does not mean that characters are deleted. ...
One change in particular from 2006-era WoW to WoW Classic has been pretty highly reported-on: skeletons no longer permanently mark the spot where a player dies.
The senior test lead explains,
While we understand that this was a flavorful part of Original WoW and the earlier expansions, individual players leaving multiple player corpses and skeletons ...
These are Local Defense alerts. They're informing you that players from the opposing faction (in this case, the Horde) are attacking NPC's (and in some cases players) in the named zones. Raiding the major cities and low level zones of the opposing faction is a time honored pastime of bored max level players - there are even achievements awarded for managing ...
Though I'm not into WoW, it looks like somebody acquired the legendary staff Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest.
According to wowpedia:
Once the staff is completed, Blue Drakes will appear hovering above Stormwind and Orgrimmar.
These images both look similar, from mmochampion.org:
You have several legitimate options, some of which can be done in combination to speed things up:
Keep solo queuing dungeons. The queue time might be long, but you're now guaranteed an item off of the last boss. That's a 615 piece on normal mode and 630 on heroic.
Buy PvP gear with Honor. Honor vendor is in Stormshield (Alliance) or Warspear (Horde) next ...
Once a follower reaches level 100, any experience they gain from there goes into increasing their quality (green → blue → purple).
In-game, you can still see the XP bar on non-epic (green/blue) level 100 followers. See for example Songla and Hulda in your screenshot, which would have a bar like this:
Epic (purple) followers do not have such a bar anymore: ...
Return to Orgrimmar or Stormwind (this can be done via a mage portal or any of the portals in Ashran). From there, if you go to the Pandaren area of the city you'll see a portal to Pandaria. Alternatively, you can have a Mage portal you directly to your Shrine. Some people prefer to set their Hearthstones to their Shrine as it contains a Portal to every ...
