May 23, 2014 at 8:38 | comment | added | WizLiz | @Frank from what I've been answered on my post and after reading the whole post you linked, it appears yours only talk about drop chance being affected by difficulty, not drop quality (even though the phrasing is ambiguous at first). Im going to maintain what I said "difficulty does not affect quality" as I belive its the truth and it confirms when you loot legendary in normal difficulty since they are not worse than the one you drop in torment
May 20, 2014 at 17:05 | comment | added | horatio | I don't see those as contradictory. I see it as saying that Torment-only items cannot drop from a Horadric Cache ever. But other that that, in both cases difficulty impacts the ability to drop things (torment only).

May 19, 2014 at 13:37 | comment | added | Frank | Yeah, those two statements conflict with each other. Perhaps difficulty only affects the Torment yes/no flag? Hard to tell, since mine states rather unambiguously that difficulty affects gear, and yours says the opposite.
May 19, 2014 at 13:31 | comment | added | WizLiz | @Frank us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/12090019460#14 Just found a blue post that say the contrary of yours so for the moment I'm a bit puzzled.
May 19, 2014 at 13:24 | comment | added | Frank | Do you have any proof of that? Until you do, I'm gonna take a blue's word over yours.
May 19, 2014 at 13:22 | comment | added | WizLiz | @Frank An affixe value on an item is not affected by the difficulty : you can have a rare ring with +350 dexterity in normal or T6. What difficulty changes is the likelihood of having more affixes on rare/blue items. Rare can roll between 4 and 6 affixes. Playing in higher difficulty increase the chance of having 6 affixes instead of 4. It does not impact legendary items however since the amount of affixes is fixed for those.
May 19, 2014 at 13:16 | comment | added | Frank | I believe this is incorrect; there's a blue post that says difficulty does affect loot quality. They didn't really expand on it, but it does seem pretty straightforward; higher difficulty = better loot.
