I know how to use the /testfor perameters in a command block to scan for players. But I need to test for zombies. Can you test for things that aren't players? If so then what else can I test for and how do I type it into the block. /testfor Zombie[~,~,~,r=10] isn't working. And if not, what would it take to get Mojang to change it?

Try this:

/testfor @e[type=Zombie,x=value_here,y=value_here,z=value_here,r=value_here]

As mentioned in the comments below, you need 1.8 Snapshot or higher to use this command.

  • Still not recognizing the entities known as Zombie. Not even with specifiers like /testfor @e[Type=Zombie,x=56,y=15,z=264,r=10] nothing shows on the comparator. – Prodias Feb 24 '14 at 2:43

@Prodias Fixed. Type shouldn't have been capitalized. – The Guy with The Hat Feb 24 '14 at 14:49

I'd mention that you need to be on a 1.8 snapshot. Just a thought. – James Of Da Peach Feb 25 '14 at 22:21
