I don't contribute to Stack Overflow anymore because I don't agree with the way CEO Prashanth Chandrasekar has overseen the implementation of AI or with the way they treating people using the platform who object to the implementation by taking their work and using it, and making money from it, without giving credit, even after they have withdrawn consent to use their work following the change in the nature of how it would be used by the company.
The poor approach to moderation - which has been in decline for years - has also left me not keep to contribute to the site. I've had my own posts vandalized and left in a state of being incorrect through poor quality edits and my attempts to change them to correct the vandalization rejected, even though the answer (displayed in my name) was now wrong. I have deleted impacted posts to avoid them appearing to be incorrect posts by me, but Stack Overflow have made it clear that if people delete content now they will keep the content up, even if it's wrong, and will just strip the attribution.
As a consequence of both of these things, I'm keeping my account so I can still attempt to make changes to my own work, but I'm no longer contributing to or using the site.
